The Crusaders Organization was founded in late Jan 2008 after much research was done into the availability of traveling, competitive sports teams in our area. Although, there are other competitive teams available, we saw the need for the development of an organization that recognized a desire to learn and play at a competitive level above experience. The Crusaders seek out youth that display potential and express a desire to play competitive sports.
We begin educating our youth that with hard work, conditioning, and a positive attitude; you will achieve. We create positive experiences enhancing self-confidence and self-esteem. We take pride in ourselves and our team mates, encouraging success.
It is not uncommon to have two or three new children show up at the gym on any night which brings joy to our hearts. With only ‘word-of-mouth’ advertising, we are growing at a phenomenal rate. This reinforces the need for this type of organization.
With several seasons of competition under our belt, we are looking forward to traveling showcase tournaments in the 2012 season. This gives the girls the added edge they need completing their high school years. They can compete and be seen by coaches without the hassles of developing videos/discs and mailing to each college that they may be interested in. Of course, this is never a bad idea to do with a college that you are corresponding with and are serious about attending.
Although we realize that we wouldn’t have active teams without our youth, it cannot go without mention the great appreciation we have for our parents. Our sincere “Thank You” goes out to all of our parents for the relentless hours they donate to our cause and the sacrifices they all make in order for their child to be able to participate in our program. I also want to note the relentless hours our volunteer coaches put into working with the girls. We are no different than a recipe: you have to have all of the ingredients in order to make something good.
